Our most popular four-day drift boat fishing begins at Grave Creek boat ramp at 8:00 a.m. Soon after launching our boats we will rope our boats around Rainee Falls rapid. This gives you a chance to stretch your legs, take pictures and perhaps see a Salmon or Steelhead trying to jump the falls. During the rest of the approximately 60 mile journey you will experience a part of the world accessible only by boat. A variety of wildlife make their home along the River and may be viewed during your trip. Black Bear, Otter and Black Tail Deer are often seen. Great Blue Herons and Ospreys make frequent appearances and chances are good you will see an Eagle.
Fishing the Rogue offers an exciting opportunity whether you are a novice or an old pro. We specialize in fishing for the half pounder Steelhead that average 14 to 16 inches, but can range up to 22 to 24 inches (4 to 6 pounds). We also fish for Chinook and Coho Salmon when available. All fishing equipment and tackle is furnished unless you have a favorite of your own.
Drift boat trips begin the first of September and run into mid November. The number of parties we guide on the Rogue’s Wild and Scenic section is limited by federal permit. Trips are planned for parties of ten to twelve guests. Smaller groups are often combined. This trip should be booked well in advance to assure your desired dates.
The drift boats we use are a comfortable way to navigate the river. They are specially designed for whitewater and carry two passengers each. All of our guides make a significant effort to provide our guests with personalized attention and care. You’ll stay at three comfortable lodges along the river. All meals and lodging included
